Remembrance Sunday 8th November 2020 Welford

Because of present circumstances and the resultant restrictions this years' Service of Remembrance at Welford on Sunday 8th November will have to be different.

As things stand it will be impossible to accommodate the 200 plus people who have attended in previous years, and it is therefore proposed to hold a much shorter service outside, at the War Memorial starting at 10.45am.

In order to maintain social distancing and comply with the current regulations,
please stand in household groups which are 2 meters apart, on the church path or in the churchyard around the War Memorial.

Masks may also be worn if you wish to do so.

The Royal British Legion will not be selling poppies this year, but it’s work and commitments continue, so there will be an offertory plate located by the church gate.

Should things change beforehand notices will be posted in the village, on the church noticeboards and on this website.

We will remember them,

but at a safe distance.
