Sunday Club
The Sunday Club welcomes pre-school and school-age children to learn more about the Christian faith in a fun and friendly environment.
We meet in the Orbell room on the second Sunday of each month at 11am, during the normal Sunday morning service. The children, accompanied by the leaders, leave the service during the first hymn and go off to enjoy the activities planned for them. The activities vary each session but typically start with a short prayer, some discussion about the day’s topic, some craft activity, perhaps a song or two and always ending with juice and biscuits! The children really enjoy the chance to get together and talk at their own level of understanding about characters and events from the Bible, share their own thoughts and feelings, and think about how they might apply the teachings in their everyday lives. The children are brought back into the service during communion and usually get the chance to share what they have been doing with the rest of the congregation before we sing the final hymn.
There is a lovely atmosphere at Sunday Club and new faces will always be made very welcome. Parents are invited to attend with their children or to remain in church to enjoy the service by themselves. There is no charge to attend Sunday Club and no commitment to attend regularly so why not just come along and give us a try sometime, we’d love to see you there...!
